worried about babies health?!

I keep having a horrible dream that my baby is born with something wrong with it! I have had a number of scans during my pregnancy because of them being worried about the size of baby, but my question is if there was something wrong would a scan pick it up? or does anyone know what things scans don't pick up? I know i'm probably worrying for nothing and no matter what i can not wait to meet my baby i'm just scared!

    How far along are you? It's very normal to have dreams that way. In the beginning of pregnancy, I had dreams that my baby had 3 arms. :-S

    @fate im 40+ 4 so baby was due last week! I had a few dreams at the start but then these r horrible i wake up cryin from them!
    @homebirthadvocate thanks i know there is nothin i can do but wait to meet my baby! I will love my baby no matter what but i just hate wakin in the night crying because of how real the dreams feel!

    I in no way want to scare u but i also had a small baby that doctors were really worried about. I had many ultrasounds because they thought there was something odd about the shape of her head, they thought maybe neural tube defect.

    Anyways, my baby was born at 38 weeks, weighed 4lbs and 13 ozs. She wasnt born with a neural tube defect but she did have metabolic acidosis which couldnt be seen during ultrasound but it did explain her small size.
