AM I IN PRETERM LABOR??? PLease help!

Turned 34 weeks today and been having contractions for 2 days and severe pelvic pressure (like baby is falling out of me). Sharp pains through my vagina hole. Sorry if tmi. Today the contractions are 6-10 min apart. and getting pretty painful for braxton hicks.. last about 25-35 seconds. Anyone help please! I hate to go to hospital if its a false alarm. Btw this is my 2nd baby if that helps.

  • Go! That's what they are there for. It's better to b safe than sorry. If u feel something is not right don't hesitate to go in. U can even call the l&d @ ur hospital
  • I agree wen in doubt....GO. they always told me come back if gets worse. That's y we are here (:
  • Maybe at least call your doctor and see if they want you to try anything first or they may just tell you to go in. Either way, do something! Good luck and keep us posted!!
  • I went in at 34 weeks havin contractions. They said its cause I wasnt eatin and drinkin enough. Also had a bladder infection. They gave me a shot to stop contractions. I would go if I were you
  • Go to the hospital! Sometimes contractions never get more regular in early labor. Keep us updated!
  • I'm on my way to hospital
  • I have 6w4d Togo. Last Wednesday I was having contractions 4 min apart. Was being hard headed an waited to go in. Got there about 11pm. Ended up getting a shot to stop contractions. Got home at about 2am, contractions soon came again. Saw my doc the next morning. He put me on nifedipine for the contractions an told me to not do anything avoidable. Basically put me on bedrest. I have two active girls to myself so he knows I cant do full bed rest. We're pushing for 36 weeks. Don't put off going in when you feel something out of the usual. Maybe if I had gone in right away I wouldn't be stuck down.
  • better be safe then sorry! id go in and get checked out
  • Hooked up to monitor waiting to see why my doc says
  • Good luck.. keep us updated

  • Good luck hun
  • my doctor usually suggests to drink plenty of water & try to lay on your side. Just to see if they go away. If they don't go away after an hour then they tell me to go in, but all doctors are different. I would start there first though just incase they want you to try something first. Good luck & keep us posted.

  • Glad they were able to stop it. When i was pregnant with my son it took 3days hooked to a million ivs to stop mine. I had also been in preterm labor for four days before going to the hospital. I thought i just ate some bad food.
