Question for Ladies with PCOS

edited June 2011 in Pregnant
Ok ladies... I have a quick question for ya. I was diagnosed in march of this year with PCOS and am currently taking 1000mg Metformin daily and Yaz birth control pills. Now I have been on birth control for several years and my periods, when I do get them, have always been very heavy with horrible cramping and have always lasted 7 or more days. This month only a few strange twinges of pain and a very very light period that barely lasted 2 1/2 days. My question is that I was wondering is this normal or could it be the metformin making it so light? Has this happened to anyone else?

  • Hmmm... I wondered because with it being that light and that short, its never been like that before! Haha, I can handle not having to go in the bathroom every hour to change pads and tampons for several days!
  • My doctor switched me to Yaz when I started the metformin.
