buying baby stuff?!!

When do ye all think is the right time to start buying bits and pieces for the baby? We decided to start buying things here in there in 3 weeks as i have my 20 week scan theb but a friend said i was crazy that its really bad luck so when do ye think is the right time?

    Whenever you want!! I waited til I found out what I was having, but there's no rule :)

    Anytime is perfect. Not sure why some people think being prepared is bad luck

    I started buying little things here and there when I passed my first trimester then I waited for my babyshower and got sooo many items then waited to see what I didn't get after my shower

    I started buying after my 20 week gender ultrasound. Probably best to wait until second trimester since miscarriage is more common in early pregnancy. No such thing as bad luck.

    Ya im waiting til my 20 week scan as well..im 18 weeks today and cant wait to start buying things!!

    Not until a week or two before baby comes and most of it after due to cultural reasons. Fun fun fun :) haha I want stuff now but nnoo says my mom,mil, and gmas

    We waited to buy most stuff until I was about 25-27 wks. Not so much about luck but my husband and I didn't want to have to deal with the things if something happened...too heartbreaking.

    As soon as I got 2 lines on the pregnancy test. Yellow and brown things and the day I found out boy I really went shopping.

    Start whenever you want! I wish i hadnt started before i found out gender (on clothes anyway) because my girlys got quite a few neutrel clothes and tons of pink so i really dont think she will be in much of the nutral! :)

    after i found out i was having a girl at 20 weeks i bought lil stuff that month (may) and then some more stuff this month.. but im done now until my baby shower 8/6/11 and after that i will get whatever else i need .. have fun i couldnt wait i had to buy some things..

    I'm having my anatomy scan tomorrow :) so if they tell me what I'm having I'm going to start shopping! I'm so excited

    Aww girls if it wasnt 2 in the mornin here id be gone shopping! So excited!!!
