I was thinking how long should I breastfeed my bby gurl ??

    I will breastfeed this baby at least 6 months, maybe longer if I can. My other two I nursed til they were 6-8 months old.

    I plan on nursing as long as my son wants to nurse. I nursed my daughter until I got pregnant with my son and only stopped because I had fierce awful morning sickness. So I stopped nursing her at 14 months.

    The american pediatric association recommends at least 1 yr, the world pediatric association says 2. Brain development in the first 3 yrs is crucial :)

    Exclusively breastfeeding for one year. Then still another year with solid food introduction. :) So 2!

    With my son, I planned on breastfeeding for 1 yr. However, he was not ready to wean then, so we nursed up to a week before his 2nd birthday. So 2 years. With my next, it will only be the 1st year.

    We have given both of our kids formula hear and there. I actually gave my son 2 oz in the hospital to help him sleep because my milk hadn't come in yet. But at this point im a dairy queen so I have to pump off some of the surplus.
