Third follow up Ultra Sound..... scared

Ladies I’m at work trying not to drive myself crazy. I had my 20w ultra sound and that was three weeks ago. I was told I needed to go back and have another ultra sound due to not being able to get pictures of his heart. I went yesterday and I was upset last night because the ultra sound tech wasn’t the nicest.

Just now I got I call I am being referred to a specialist and they want to take a closer look at the heart. My doctor says not to worry, but how can I possibly stay calm. I’m 23w weeks my husbands at work and can’t talk and I’m trying to stay focused here at work.

I'm sorry, praying for your baby. Maybe the us tech just sucked apart from being rude and wasn't able to get good pics. Did they atleast tell you what seemed to be wrong?

@jess510 i feel your stress. I to have to go back in about 3 wks and have a more indepth scan done of my little ones heart as well. But we r doing it bc of his/her older sister was born w aortic stenosis. So they r watching this baby. I will pray for u and baby

I just scheduled my 3rd ultrasound to look at my little guys heart. they keep telling me not to worry but its hard. im 25 weeks and are starting my every two week appts instead of every month just to keep an eye on his heart. so I feel your pain but, I say of they arent stressed I cant be either. its not good for the baby. you are in my thoughts!

Im sorry your going through that and I hope everything gets better. I go to a specialist cause my baby has a ccam on his left lung and its starting to shift his heart so be strong I know its hard but just be glad they catch these things early

I had the same thing happen with my daughter and now with baby #2. From what my OB told me, seeing all the chambers of the heart is difficult, especially if the baby is moving a lot or the resolution isn't great. after a couple shoots at looking the insurance companies force the docs to refer to a specialist to take a look. My daughter is perfectly fine and so is this baby. I hope the same for you!

Same thing happened to me I went in on june 10th and they said I had to come back in 4weeks when baby is bigger. They need better pics of the 4 chambers of the heart. Try not to worry. Everything will be fine I m sure

Same thing happened to me today!! I had my second U/S to see the heart and they still couldnt get a decent pic. The tech said I could get just one more but after that I'll need a Spc. They keep telling me not to worry but I am still worried. I guess I wont feel better until they stop ordering these extra U/S.

I just had my fetal echo cause the specialist i went to couldn't see all four chambers but after the fetal echo, the cardiologist said the Babys heart look beautiful.
