I know many people, experts included, say talking to your child while carrying them helps you two bond.
Here's the thing...
IT FEELS AWKWARD TO ME!!!
having me talk to my belly is strange & the only think I like less is anyone else talking to my belly!!
Am I the only freak on here?! Or am I a poor mom-to-be for not easily bonding with my child?!

    I feel the same way it feels awkward to me to but I dnt mind my bf tlkng to my stomach or his niece she's 1 and she loves to touch my belly n sumtimes she babbles a little baby tlk to it thn kisses it n I jus thnk its so cute bcuz we hav this crazy bond n sumtimes she likes me more thn she like my bf n I jus love this little girl I give her watevr she wnts n sumtimes I thnk I'll take her ovr my baby I jus kno she'll b jealous wen it gets here especially if its a girl

    Ha ya maybe if it was a baby I wouldn't mind. But when adults start talking, especially in a baby voice to part of my body, I just wanna hit them lol

    I never talk to my belly in my first pregnancy! Im not doing it now but you are still bonding with the baby bc the baby hears you when you talk to someone! You will bond also when baby is born and you breastfeed if you are going to! Dont worry that doesnt mean you are a bad mommy!

    Wait until you have the baby and the general public thinks its ok to touch them and grab their hands while in a checkout line...had a little old man kiss my.daughters forehead in the outback restaurant...I WAS MORTIFIED!

    So my dad was in the air force and we were stationed in northern Japan when my sisters were born. In the boonies, so dont picture Tokyo in your head when I tell this story. Imagine a lot of rice patties, vending machines, mom and pop stores, and little old ladies.

    My mom had red headed twins. Now, I thought they freaked out over my blonde hair, but we hadn't seen anything yet. We had to make the stroller seats face each other and pull the canopy up when we went to the little mall because people would come up, pick up one of my sisters, and walk away to show their friends and family. Then come back with more people to see the twin.

    I haven't had people talking to my belly yet. Im only 19 weeks so maybe the further along I get. However I hate it when people are talking to me and stare at my stomach. What do they really expect to see? Lol

    I really want a shirt I found online, it says "touch my belly, I'll grab your boobs...ya, rude isn't it?!" Lol!! I laughed so hard.

    Lmao I've seen a lot of cute shirts but I hadn't seen that one. I think my baby would want the one that says "stop calling me it" everyone get on me for saying it. I find out Tuesday what im having so that will come to an end.

    I dnt talk to my belly either but I do play music for the baby.. The father and my nephews r the only ones that talk to the baby. I love it when they do but sometimes I make them, lol

    I have a younger girl who would scre at my stomach to make the baby move. Took everything in me not to sock her in the face. But for the parents its good just read a book outloud or sing like in the shower it makes it less awkward n ur bany will recognize ur voice mine did.

    I talk to baby when im at hme if shes moving so does my son n hubby I dnt see anything wrong with it.each to their own x

    Haha this is funnny.... I talk to it sometimes and I let baby dad talk also sometimes...but my mother is so annoying in a restaraunt she practically atacked me and riped my shirt up for everyone to see and was talking and yelling at my belly...umm not.okay!

    I had a woman I work with grab my belly n rub and say come on baby kick come on just one....please kick me I wanna feel u in there.....I'm just like she must be sleeping....meanwhile in really wanna bitchslap her and say fuck off leave my belly alone

    @jwigs I was stationed in the boonies in Japan too! I was a platnium blonde 1-4 year old, & people used to rub my head all the time for good luck! I still have issues with people I don't really know touching me! I will not hug people I barely know, & I hate it when someone touches my belly other than my bf. I even popped my Moms hand because of all people she should have known better!

    @natashalynn I really don't talk to my belly either, yet. I did with my first pregnancy, but not until I was 5 or 6 months along & they were really moving around, & then you can't help it. But its more of a "hey! Get out of my ribs!" kind of thing. :)
