  • I started out with both for my daughter who is now 2.5 I used the drop ins all the time. I loved them the were so easy to clean and I guess just easier to deal with. You can get all the air out of the bag and she hardly ever had gas. I am using the drop ins this time again for my little not. Good luck on the choice
  • My friend swears by the drop ins an she let me use one to try it cuz we both had newborns I culd never tell how much my daughter drunk to c wen she needed to be burped had to keep taking the top off then squeeze the air out of it again an my baby didn't like waiting for all that! I nevr tried another one an prolly nevr will. I'm gonna try the ventair wide neck bottles wit this baby
  • Airvent has a million pieces and sometimes leak from the bottom. Drop in s cause more gas but are good for travel.

  • Sorry I mean little boy lol got 2 love smart phones
  • I really liked the wide ventaire ones. We didn't have any issues with gas or colic and I liked not having to remember to buy those little bags. I didn't have any problems assembling the pieces and I think we ended up with one leaky one, we just tossed. But if you can't decide, you could always buy one of each and test it out.
  • I love drop ins!!!! I used both with #1. Here are my reasons:
~easier to warm (and faster): with the vent airs u have to take the lid off and pray it doesn't spill while u r warming. Not to mention the liner is thinner so they warm quicker
~easier to clean: obviously. 5 parts to the ventairs. 2 with the dropins
~squeeze out the air vs a vent that is generally a pain
    Hope this helps :)
  • i plan on using drop-ins because id be way to afraid of my baby being covered in milk spilling out the bottom of a vent air,but thats just me
    ;-)
  • I've read bad reviews of the new ventair advanced bottles, the leaky bottom.. I used the old ones with my first son back in 2006 and I had no problems.. personally I perfer the drop ins
  • Drop ins sounds like it wins :) I was given a bunch months ago from a friend and I have kinda forgotten about them till now when someone asked what kind I was using. I was like uuuuuuuuh I dunno lol. Now I can sound more educated :D
  • My daughter is 6wks old and I only use vent air advanced, n they have never lick from anywhere . U only have to assamble 2pcs in the bottom n the top its only the ring n nipple .
  • I used the drop ins with both my kids. I never wanted to use reg bottles because ur supposed sterilize them alot and its a whole lot easier washing the playtex drop in bottles
  • I used drop ins w/ my daughter & vent airs w/ my son & I'm going back to the drop ins w/ this baby.
  • I used drops for my daughter airvent for my son. I like airvents my son never was gassy n I seen someone say they leak. Only if u don't put them in right! Only thing different from a normal bottle is the piece u put in the bottom. Some as dropping in the liner really!
  • Drop ins are easy the air vent ones hove so many pieces and you have to get it together just rite or it leaks
  • If you plan on breast feeding as well id suggest the breastflow dropins
  • I loved the drop ins with my son. We chose the latex nipple vs the silicon and I was able to push all the air out of bottle. I definitely recommend starting with the 4 oz size to prevent trying to squeeze 4 oz of air out of an 8 oz bottle. I never had any trouble and he never got gassy. I will use them again with this baby. Also, if you want to breastfeed and pump, they make bags that go into the freezer, then you can thaw them and pop em right into the bottle!
  • I love the drop-ins as well.

My daughter is 2 weeks old and has reflux and colic. Iam using the advanced ventaire and LOVE them! With the drop ins, you have to sit there and squeeze all the air out, every last bit to ensure your baby doesn't get gas bubbles, the ventaire does that for you! Honestly its not hard to assemble either, it takes 2 seconds to put the bottom piece on. I have 6 bottles, not one has leaked for us. There is nothing precise about putting them together, you just have to make sure all of the parts are dry when you put them together and you should have no problems. They are also bent so it decreases the risk for ear infections. They are cheaper in the long run because you don't have to spend $8 a week on liners. This is my opinion hun, but everyone is different :)
  • I used drop ins with my son, and am currently using them with my daughter. They are so convenient, easy to use, and very minimal parts. Eventually, you'll get to familiar with how much milk is left in the bottle when you need to burp baby. I burp my daughter half way through at 2 ounces (she is 6 weeks and takes 4 ounces) unless she needs to burp before the 2ozs. Then you won't have to undo the cap every time. I also use the latex nipples, both kids seem to like them better which is weird because they hate latex binkies but like silicone ones haha. Also, to me, the drop in's seem more sanitary. If you don't wash the bottle right away, no biggie cuz the liner can be tossed. I always wash and reuse my liners once, it's a bit more cost effective that way.
  • Hmmmmm decisions decisions... well I have a few of both so I will try them out. I am planning on breastfeeding for 3 months....
