Ovulation & getting prego.......????

Ok ladies this may sound dumb but......can u only get prego during ovulation???? If so then how are sooooo many ppl getting prego!? I mean I know a lot of us are trying TRUST me we've been tryin for over 16 months!!! Everywhere I turn & I mean everywhere someone is prego!!! Congrats to those who are but for those ttc & for many months now it just seems mind boggling :-/ :)

    Find an app to help u n go to work on those fertile days. My out look was if it happens then it happens. I really wasn't trying but with the app 2 months and a worn out husband. Lol

    Lol yes I understand I was put on chlomid and poor hubby after day 5......

    Get the "my days" app its pretty amazing you just log your last cycle and it calculates the rest for you. Very helpful. We went by it and it only took 1 month, also get ovulation strips that will also help let you know when your ovulating.

    I wasn't ttc me and my bf hav been having unprotected sex for 6yrs and I nevr got pregnant but I also used the "my days" calendar I lookd at my calendar one day and it said I was fertile but ths particular week me n my bf was having a lot of sex I payd it no mind about 3wks latr my girlfriend didn't come me bn indenial gav it a few mre weeks thn decided to go to the docs lo and behold I was 6wks pregnant

    i agree with lwoods . i had no clue when my fertile days were or when i ovulated , i figured ovulation wasnt the only time i could get pregnant. but when i was told other wise i got the my days app. its a really cool app that allows you to mark your period , when you had sex , bmt etc using color coded dots. myfavorite thing it does is tells you when your fertile and ovulation days are and the best times to try an conceive just from you putting in your period day ( when you first start bleeding) i would say defo get the app , it will be a big help

    Thank you for the advice ladies! I feel kinda lost, my periods have never ever been regular :( I would go months w/out a af, I would go my fertility dr put me in bc (u did NOT want to but his plan was to kick start my system apparently) anywho, it kickstarted my system alright.....I spent a month on af and it was bad! Tmi but I bled so bad my body started to go into shock several diff times & I had to go to ER for possible blood transfusion, thankfully I didn't but my body used every ounce if energy to produce blood. I am now being repremended @work bc I had to use al my leave bc I was so sick. I have tons of dr notes & it doesn't seem to matter so I can't go back to the dr bc the are being a-holes. But being on chlomid. know when I was suppose to ov but idk when af should be here. I'm having tons of symptoms but had 3 neg test so I'm thinkin I tested too early! Ahhhh stressful.....

    Since you are so irregular, you may need to track your ovulation everyday with a kit. The my days app will not be efficient for you if you dont have regular periods.

    :( our fertility dr told us not to do the ovuation kits :( I wanted to say ok listen doc al I want is to get prego & have a healthy beautiful baby! But I didn't....I just said ok. Testing Sat or Sun crossing fingers toes legs arms etc lol

    @gabschillin thank you! I am just trying to keep my faith alive. Its just hard to keep faith, all my cousins were super young and starting @ the age if 11 I helped them raise their children bc they were irresponsible :( Now tht I'm 26 married & ready for my own babies it just is very depressing. I have nothing against ppl who aren't married or even younger moms plz don't miss read my post :) we are all here for support & to vent if needed ;) Good luck to everyone!

    When its the right time it will happen I wasn't even trying to get pregnant and got pregnant 2 weeks after my last period! Now I'm 33 weeks with my first. It's a blessing from God and hopefully one day you will find out you are pregnant!:-) don't give up hope my sis in law tried for years and her period was irregular then she found out she was pregnant and now she has 2 kids and pregnant with the third!     Well Me & My Husband Were Having Unprotected Sex For AWhile And I Didn't Get Prego But I Guess His Little Plan Worked Off I'm Almost 11 Weeks !

    I for sure understand myself... although I haven't been trying for nearly as long, it is frustrating to watch all my friends and ppl around be get preggers. We got married a few months ago and left it up to chance after the wedding. Well a month later a test came back pos but I lost it after 5 weeks along. Now were trying for one and its not happening so easily. The worst parit is that my friend had been pregnant just a month ahead of me when I had found out... and her belly is popping and she found out what she was having and it just made me so sad inside... I want in on the mommy world too! But they do say not to stress so I'm trying to be as patient as I can... it sure is hard isn't it?!?!? Ur not alone!

    @prayin_4_twins i totally feel you. Went through the same thing when i was 26 my husband and i were trying for about 2 years. They ran all kinds of tests on him and me found out it was both of us w problems. Put me on clomid was on it for about 5 months didn't get pg talked w fertility dr wanted us to see specialist but we decide that it was in gods hands and if he wanted us to have then he would in his time. Took last dose in 8/03 found out i was pg in 1/04. I now have 3 beautiful girls and an ex dr that told me i couldn't have on my own. I am now hoping 4 # 4.

    @mrsrocketfield sorry to hear about ur 1st my bestie & a friend of hers got prego & my bestie mc right after she told some of us, that was one of the worst experiences ever! I felt her every pain. It is very frustrating & I am so blessed to have 2 amazing specialist that are doing everything to help us. My family has a history of female issues :( every single female in my immediate fam had children btwn the ages 17-21 and all had hysterectomies not shortly after their last child, the only way for me to prolong the issue & aboid that unholy surgery is to conceive my blessing(s) I have wanted a baby since before I can even remember! Its just frustrating & makes me sad! A close friend of mine is having her baby today & I am so happy for them but emotionally I can't handle it right now :( sorry msg was so long.

    @3girls_0boys Thank you! Stories such as urs help me to stay positive!!! @all Thank you for all the advice & encouragement! My story is above & after the month I just had this would be amazing news! Dec 20 to jan 19 was the worst I lost wayyyyyy too much blood after I was put on high amounts of bc to "kickstart " my system. Then I was told that they were working on getting me prego asap bc time is running out :( Good luck to everyone ttc or prego ;)

    I got pregnant on the pill! Of course I missed one little pill and it was over LOL. Now I'm 10 weeks! >:D< Crazy thing is I was with my ex for 6 years and was irresponsible with my pills and didn't get pregnent (THANK GOD!!!)

    My sister tried for 3 years..was told she would never have kids. Her and her husband gave up and 2 months later she was prego with my nephew, now 5 year later she has 2 beautiful sons.

    But God will bless you when the time is right hun! Keep your head up, and you'll find when your trying the least it will happen Out of love! Good luck!<3

    Thank u ladies!!!! I went for a blood test todayl results tom & then a second. blood test Thurs to compare levels.
