I'm also having a repeat c-section but not until October. Sorry I don't have any advice to give you but I hope all goes well!
  • @blueeyes1246 I'm having a repeat c section also my doctor gave me the option to have a vback but I want my tubes tied so c section it is. My first was also an emergency so I don't know what to expect. I'm a little freaked out.
  • Me to and i don't know anyone who's had a repeat cs....I'm scared....as time goes by the more nervous I get...I've been having night terrors about it....I just wish someone would tell me its going to be okay...I have a 3 year old and I feel like I have everything to loose....
  • I'm having a repeat too. My first was also an emergency, but I'm thinking it will go pretty much like the first time, but not as rushed. Maybe focus more on the fact that you'll be holding your baby soon.
  • I will be having my fourth c-section in October. A planned cs isn't anything like an emergency one. There is so much more control and less rushing. Talk to your doctors about all of the bad parts of your last delivery and come up with a plan. Also, after your delivery get up and move around ASAP....it will make all the difference. I am on my phone and sick but if you have any direct questions tag me and I will answer tomorrow am.
  • @blueeyes1246 if it is planned it should go smoothly unless there is complicatins. There shouldn't be if it is a set date. I had emergency c section with my second and going to do a vbac with this one.
  • Ive had 2 and this will be my third. Not sure what if any the difference is with an emergency other than knowing ahead of time. You'll go in on the scheduled date amd time, the nurses will "prep" you-hooking you up to everything, monitor the baby etc. You go in the or (wheeled) they give you the spinal, lay you down immediately put the sheet up and get to work ;) the procedure takes about 20 minutes usually and they'll talk to you explaining everything. You're allowed one person with you. After baby is out, they bring baby to your face, clean baby up, sew you up. You spend about an hour in recovery amd then off to your room where they bring baby.
Not sure what else you'd want to know but feel free to ask :)
  • This will b my 3rd c cection...first was horrible experience emergency....second was soooo much easier! If for some reason they give you an option ask. For spinal instead of epidural...for me it made a difference....for some reason I'm scared of my 3rd unsure how recovery is for 3rd
  • i will be having my 5th c section in sept. my first and fourth were emergency, second and third were scheduled. its not as bad as it is the first time in my opinion. it is still scary though. it being my 5th i am scared still. you will be fine, and it will be oevr before you know it. :) good luck and congrats
  • Thanks to everyone...I've talked to my Dr Bout it and I told her how I'm terrified....she didn't say really anything about it other than ill have a spinal bc it works faster...how's the healing after? Did it hurt worse the 1st time or second? I had my 1 st at 11:20 pm and was up walking alone by 2 am..I really appreciate the support!
  • Im scheduled for a repeat c section but i want to go into labor on my own my dr advised me against it :-(
