strech marks :'(

edited June 2011 in Pregnant
They're all over my thighs and butt. Urghhh I was so tiny before too. I coco butter 2x a day and still. I've always been so confident but this just kills me. Any other ladies feel giant and just plain ugly? I would kill to be my normal size for a day,

  • I coco butter to! But i believe stretch marks tell a beautiful story lol makes me feel a lil better when i say that
  • That is a really nice way of saying it. My boss (mother of 2) says that they're warrior marks from being preg, hahaha.
  • Hahaha that's a good one
  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • Hahaha zebras are my fav animal!
  • I have them still all over my stomach...sucks. I used coco butter, bio oil, and vitamin E lotion and nothing helped them during my pregnancy
  • Nothingggg! I have all the special pregancy stretch mark creams and nothing. My dr read my bfs tattoo goo and said I should try that.
  • I'm tiny too..pre pregnancy not one stretchmark! (i was 16 tho lol) but I got them and I hate it. So unconfident now. I had no clue..my mom and my aunts don't have stretchmarks.. It must be from my dads side :(
  • If u just started getting them thet are still treatable right?
  • Yeah I feel the same way, your not alone ! I use body butter& vitamin e oil it helps but my stretch marks are still bad I hate how I look but my husband doesn't let me get said about he says, hey there beauty marks u can't call them stretch marks lol he makes me feel better about it but what can u do u can't control them so don't worry I suggest u use that it will help and after the baby still use it and you'll watch them fade, u have 2 massage the body butter in 2 your skin for better results
  • I didn't know about massaging it ill def try that :)
  • Yeah it worked better that way but there still there and very visible I hate my body right now but I try 2 stay postive and my hubby gives me lots of complements , I think im gonna try mederma how ever u spell it lol after I have the baby
  • I was reading a spanish website that said to do a mixture of the following and to massage. Don't know if they are safe to use during pregnancy though.

    One tablespoon olive oil
    One tablespoon wheat germ oil
Three drops essence of sandalwood oil
  • Research shows, if your momma had them, you will too. With my first, I used coco butter and shea butter religously, and still got stretch marks. With my second and this baby, I didn't use anything. With each baby, I got new stretch marks. Lol. First baby gave them to me on the bottom of my belly. Second gave them to me in the middle (by my belly button). This baby gave them to me about an inch above my belly button. I don't mind them, but I hate all of the veins that you can see through my belly. There's a huge one going from my belly button, all the way up to my ribs.
  • I thought because my mom didn't get them I wouldn't either. Ha. I totally have them. But me and my mom have totally different skin, she is very oily and I'm very dry. My grandma has skin like mine and she got stretch marks like crazy :( lol
  • I had a perfect stomach and now its covered in stretch marks...it sucks cause that was the only thing i was proud of...i got cellulite in my early 20's and my arms are kinda big...but its ok...I'm sure they will fade...right? :/
  • Well I only have the lil stretch marks I had before on my butt I have not noticed if they got worse how far along are u? Im also a tiny girl too im almost 25 weeks and weigh 102lbs I was 95 pre pregnancy im so scared im going to get stretch marks on my tummy when do they arrive lol
  • I got them on my hips and butt and absolutely hate them!! The worst part of pregnancy I can say and I've used bio oil and coco butter. My mom got them in the same place. Got my fingers crossed my belly stays free of them. Im 32 weeks so we will see.
  • I have them on my belly pretty bad from my twins. Looks like a map of ocean currents. Nothing works on them. It's a waste of money to buy all these expensive creams. Its the luck of the gene pool.
  • I wish strech marks were part of sympathy pregancy so my boyfriend would have them too I hate his little skinny perfect body!

Ugh I got one on my thigh and I'm just waiting for the ones on my belly to come.., and yes I feel not so sexy especially when I go shopping and see all this cute clothes or when me and my hubby have sex I feel a little self conscious :( :">
  • welcome to mother hood.. its just one of the sacrafices us mothers make to ensure our babies life and saftey.. consider um love marks.. they never go away but they to lighten alot.. expesially the small ones .. a good tan will do them good next summer .. and feel comfort in knowing that the majority of woman have them or will get them in there life.. oh ya cocoa butter doesnt work its all in genetics..
  • My mom & grandma swear that VASELINE is the way to go. I'm 28w5d & not one stretch mark. My mom has 4 kids, used VASELINE with all of us & not one stretch mark. My sister has 4kids (2 of them are twins) & not one stretch mark. Grandma has none either. FYI we all have petite figures. You should try, good luck ;)
  • I have them so bad. I would always get some here and their really small ones when I was younger cuz my weight would go up and down a lot. Now that am pregnant their going crazy all over my stomach. My mom got them really bad with all of 3 of us so I expected that.
