drinking at a bar!

I'm trying to hide it from this bigmouth friend of mine but she ordered me a beer and is sitting right next to me....my mom is trying to help me drink it but she isn't exactly suttle at things like that! Idk how to hide this! Any ideas? I'm usually a huge drinker there's no reason not to drink tonight (except for, well 8-| )

    If your not ready to tell... maybe you could take it to the bathroom and empty some out? Or refill it with water to sip on! LOL just say ur not feeling so hot all the sudden? So many ideas! Hahaha
    I'd just like to add... yey you for not drinking anyways, esp if You are usually a big drinker!

    I tried all that! Lol. Its a pitcher and the glass is clear. I can't leave because we all took one car. I told her I am dd and even the bartender (who knows) was like "yeah she can drink we have plenty of time" the plan was maragritas but she went and bought a pitcher. -___- grr. I just can't tell her b/c she's not family but is a friend and will tell ALL my family

    I ended up fake drinking and telling her I was scared to drink anymore and drive in the rain. My mom made it so obvious by trying to pour mine into hers and getting caught. I had to say my mom was drunk & thought my glass was the pitcher.
    I still have 4 weeks until I tell anyone. So so so frustrating.

    Next time you could always order an ice water with lime and say its a vodka tonic ;-)

    I would've said you weren't up to drinking tonight, that you're tired, have a headache, that your New Years resolution was to try to make healthier habits for yourself-eating better, no alcohol, exercize, etc. I know the feeling. We aren't telling anyone we're expecting because, well, we want our privacy for once. This is my 5th, but our 2nd together, plus he has a son from his previous marriage, so that makes a total of 6 kids. People have nasty comments like 'dont you have enough kids already?' 'How many more are you going to have?' 'Whose getting fixed after this one?' Uhm...its our choice, nobody elses, ya know? So we're keeping it to ourselves for once, along with the people we did tell we aren't telling them names choices, tired of people thinking they have a say in what we name our child. GRR! Sorry. Had to vent. Good luck!

    @kkmommy that was the plan originally. We had ordered margaritas and when I went to the bar to order I told her make mine virgin.
    Well the dumb bartender made the margaritas with a splash of club soda. My friend (and I) were grossed out so she went up and ordered a pitcher without asking any of us. I usually do drink beer and beer alone so it was off that i got margaritas first, then super-off that I wasn't drinking.

    It was just so played out to make me on the spot >_<

    Well that's a tough situation, at least your mom was there to help a little, even if she was obvious :-)
