GROUP STREP B? HELP

I'm 38 weeks and my Dr told me I tested positive for group b strep today and when I go into labor I will be on IV antibiotics. I'm soo worried now I can't sleep. Any other moms have had this? Or know anything about it?

    I just know dey give u antibiotics after birth I got tested last week this monday comin up dey will give me d results hope its not bad my dr told me its not bad but idk!

    I know its very common and have seen alot of posts about ppl testing positive. no worries just means u need antibiotics like 12 hrs before u deliver I believe but dont quote that

    I have this but I tested pos a lot sooner than they test for it. They test every woman. I was tested earlier because I had a uti that was caused by the gbs. I'm only at 29wks now so I still have a ways to go until labor {hopefully(= } Anyways. It's not something that is contagious to other people, only to the baby. I read some where were about every 1 n 4 woman have it and most don't ever have symptoms or test pos. As long as once you do go into labor you go up there immediately so they can start you on the antibiotics everything should be fine. There is very minimal risk with the a few hrs of antibiotics.

    I had such a good pregnancy.no morning sickness. No weight gain or anything wrong. I feel like after 36 weeks everything has gone bad. I'm anemic, have strep b,I'm so swollen I can't do anything,and the icing on the cake baby is already 10lbs and my Dr doesn't want to induce me

    Holy cracker-jacks. I'm sorry to hear that everything seems to be happening all at once. But look at it this way. At least you don't have to deal with it for very much longer. I say induce yourself! =) Look up all the tips and tricks to jump start your baby's arrival! Well at least that is what I'm going to do at about 38wks. =) I'm going to try anything and everything and probably eat my weight in pineapples!

    I gained 4 lbs in one week and its all fluids even my face feels swollen. My sandals don't fit. At this point labor pain is the least of my worries

    I tested positive with my first. I got the antibiotic prior to delivery, I had a vaginal delivery and everything was fine. I have a healthy 3 yr old.

    I tested positive and they put me on pennicilin. Dont worry alot of women get it.
