Its mostly carbs dat dey wrry about I failed both tests so now I'm on a strict diet, have to monitor every carb & no sugar, & take my blood sugar 4 times a day! So now yur guna have to take a 3hr test & dat will tell yu whether yu do have GD or not
  • Sucks cuz theres some moms that just eat a lot of fastfood and pass....maybe you ate before the blood work and it messed your score up?
  • @1stTime_Mommy what was your score?? Mine was 134
@JasminGN nah I didn't have anything since 9 the prior evening n it was sugar free n my test was @ 8am! So idk! :(

Dey didn't tell me my score =/ dey just said it was high both times & honestly I think dey r BSing me cuz my blood sugar has been on point everyday not once has it been high, & its been so consistent...and yu can eat all da fast food yu want dats more salt then sugar, french fries r carbs & hamburger buns r da only thing dey said I need to watch like I said carbs r da biggest deal & milk, its annoying cuz yu gotta read all labels & then yu gotta measure out portions, good luck I've heard a lot of women fail da first & pass da second
  • Do u eat alot of fruit? Or carbs? Becuase carbs turn into sugar... I think lol

  • @mgrose you would have passed at my docs office. The max there is 140. I'm sorry. But I don't get why docs have diff numbers to pass.

  • @excited for baby ya I don't get why the numbers were different they told me I had to be below 130 to pass
@cee808 I'm not a huge fruit eater but I do have it a few times a week always fresh never canned in sugary juice lol
@gatorbob thanx for all the info I do believe I have a good deal of carbs coming from fruit n veggie sources ...and I said the same thing about all the sugar in that horrible drink...my body isn't used to all that, it would be like eatin a tbone steak n chicken in one sitting after years of not eating meat, I'm gonna get sick afterwards for sure!

  • I failed my 1 hr and my sugar is never high. But i passed my 3 hr. Don't stress over the 1 hr.
  • Carbs are converted into sugar in your body, just so you guys know. ;)
  • I failed my 2hr test, im waiting for a letter off hospital to get my appointment to see a specialist, im really mad coz i did test fri and they said they will ring me back friday evening if anything is wrong, they didnt i had to ring for my results monday afternoon and they told me i had a high reading :-( Nobody has explained anything to me and my midwife was no help at all telling me it wasnt her department to advise me, i started reading up on the internet and am now in panic mode and 2 frightened to eat anything because ive read what can happen if left untreated! Well done NHS, makes me so mad!
