Ok so I still have my car seat I used for my two kids who are now 3 and4. So my car seat is four years old is it ok to use it for my new baby or is it unsafe because its kind of old?

  • there should be an expiration date on it

I think its ok as long as it wasnt recalled.
  • @happymommyof2 Thanks I will check that.
@Angel452 ok thanks for that I didn't even think to do that.
  • Most car seats expire after 5-6 years, you should be fine! :)
  • They expire because the sun can break down the plastic, causing it to crack or become weak, proving to be unsafe after x amount of time. However, infant carriers are rarely left in the sun for extended periods in the sun because we use they to carry in and out so the seat is only in the car usually when the babies in it. I would use it...
  • @summergirl22 I hope so it in great condition and more money I can put on something else for my baby boy:)
