contractions at 28 weeks :-/ (quite long)

Right so I was in bed, and then all of a sudden my belly started contracting, I started to get really bad period pains but about 100 times worse :-( and got a lot of pressure down below, I thought it would pass after a few minutes but it went on for a good hour, luckly I was at my boyfriends and his mom is a midwife so I knew she was there if I needed her, after about an hour of painful contractions about 5 mins apart and getting worse, they just stopped, has anyone else had this? The doctor said its fine aslong as it doesnt happen again, just wonderd if its happend to anyone else, and what happend?

    Anytime you have signs of labor before 37 weeks, you need to see your doctor.

    Yeah I did the next day because it was at about 1 in the morning so I booked an emergancy appt and she just said dont worry because the pains stopped :-/
