feeling baby move

edited July 2011 in Second Trimester
Is it bad if im 19 weeks with my first and I haven't felt any movement at all? I know its okay because I just had an u/s but everyone seems to be feeling their babies all ready and I can't :(

  • Nooo Baby Is Still Small Is Has Alot Of Room To Hide
  • i just read in my what to expect book that most people feel first movement from 18-22 weeks. some as late as 26. depends on ur body and placenta placement in some cases.
  • Aww I felt the same way! No worries, you'll start feeling your baby eventually! I didn't start feeling my baby strongly til almost 25wks! Now he moves around randomly through each day :-)

@punkmommy This is my first too...@ 19weeks I didn't felt anything too.. and @ 21 weeks finally I felt mine...but sometime in 19 to 20 I feel something but not sure coz its my first so I really don't know.. wait 2weeks more... you will see ur baby will move :) I'm 25 weeks
  • Thanks :) I'm so exited to feel he/she.
  • With your first you might not know exactly what your suppose to be feeling? You might be feeling little gas bubbles down by your belly button but no fart. Or I also like to think of it as like little carbonation bubbles inside rolling around or a random little tummy gurgle but further down. Hope that makes sense I'm with my second and have felt him since 12-13 weeks just little flutters. Hope this helps
  • At 19w is when I first started to feel movement. Its still not constant but I'm feeling more and more! You will too!!
  • It's ok. The baby is still really small.
