bassinet, singlets, clothes, bottles/formula if ud need, pacifier/dummy, socks, beanie if its cold, sheets, blankets for wrapping, baby carrier/pram, car seat, dont need a high chair tilll 6 monthd a rocker may be helpful anyway habe fun maybee breast pump
Don't get a bassinet. It's a waste of money cause they only hold up to a certain weight. If crib are too expensive, I like the pack n plays with bassinet and changing station included. Cause once baby is too big for bassinet part they can just sleep in the play pen plus its portable. Swings are awesome if you just need a break to do other things around the house without carrying a baby.
Whilst they do only hold a certain weight its your choice portable cots require constant supervision because they can collapse I've had one collapse with my son in it do I dont personally think its a good option for a bed but they are handy if ur 6oing 2 someones place
Its hard because u want to wait till your baby shower u might get a lot of your things as gifts. Do what i did. Go register at a store u like (babies r us, burlington, target) they all have baby registries. Pick out the stuff u like and they should give u like a phamplet with a check list so u don't forget anything. If they dont offer u a list print one online. Then u give ur friends n family the registry info, usually a website they can look at what u selected, and you can see what gets purchased for u. And i don't know about other places but i registered at babies r us and they offer a thing where whatever doesn't get bought off your registry for u then 2 or 3 weeks before ur due date u get 10% or something off whatevers left that u really want to buy. Its really the best way to go. And like myself, until the shower and everything just pick up things here n there if u see something u like or on clearance like clothes blankets maybe teethers just whatever u see. But there's no need to go full blown shopping till the end because u will get gifts and people will probably give u things they have, which is perfectly good lol my moms friend has a 6 mo old boy and she just gave me all her 0-3 mo old clothes which was awesome even though id already bougjt like 3 big boxes full of clothes lol
I just registered at Pottery Barn Kids and they give you a checklist with the welcome packet. They are a bit on the spendy side ( but nice stuff!) so I also registered at Babies R Us. I'm holding off on buying pacifiers and receiving blankets and other newborn things as they'll come at the shower, but we've made sure to at least have various sizes of diapers and onesies.
I just picked up a few cute outfits, some bottles and pacifiers, and little things like wash cloths, onsies, towels, and burp cloths. U'll get a lot of stuff at the shower so u dont wanna go crazy. Its a good idea to talk to ur closest friends and family to see what theyre going to get because they'll be the ones to get the big gifts. Like between my 2 bffs and my sister Im getting the crib and dresser, swing, walker, stroller, and car seat so the big important stuff I know I dont have to worry about.
