what is the difference between japan and US regulation on car seats?

I found a really cool carseat and stroller online that goes with my husband hobby. I can't find these item no where except for overseas. I've tried looking everywhere to see how safe they were. The US has its own line of car seats there completely different. I really like the ones in japan. I want to know if I can have a japanese carseat in the united states? If anyone wants to look at the car seat I found they are called recaro start iq . There really are too cute.

I would not buy a car sear from another country unless I could be assured that it was safety approved here. Cute is one thing and I'm all about cute but I'd never rest easy without knowing that my car seat was fully vetted and approved.

Yea I know that's why I'm asking to see if anyone knows the regulation on what's fit. I want my child to be safe but I just thought it would be cool for my son to be riding in style like his daddy. I'm on my phone so I don't have proper access to a computer to look up these things. That's why I'm asking. I know japan is more advanced in technolgy than the US.

@stephforever89- My coworker has a recaro car seat and she said it's the best of the best regarding safety issues. She said they're pricey but well worth it. I am going to look into them, hers looks so comfty and I def want my Julian safe n comfty:)
