Pregnacy photo shoot

Ok so I'm not far along yet but I wanted to know the optimal time to do the shoot and how much is too much. I have a spot that I like the work which is $450 and the pics are amazing. After your shoot you come back about a week later to do a consultation. Am I over zealous and thinking this cost is fine? Time frame may help me save. Thanks ladies

    I think u should do photos after 8 months so that ur stomach can b at it's roundest and prettiest

    I had one yesterday at 26 weeks for free so imo 400 is way way way too much, but then again im not getting prints in frames, I'm getting a disk with 200 pics edits and non edits. pregnancy models are in very high demand right now

    I'm usually the type of girl that only buys when something is on sale but my bf is the spender so I was going to use that to my advantage (I know I'm bad.) I mean if he is insisting a flipping stroller for $950 then the Hell I want my pics. Don't get me wrong I know that sounds irresponsible and it is bc most of our arguments and only big problem in our relationship is his spending.

    @sunshinelove after thought I def need to look elsewhere bc pics don't come with the package.

    Yea I think the price is a little high too 250-300 is ok for great professional pics I plan on spending less than that though

    I would post or search on Craigslist for tfp maternity shots. I'm sure there would be. Or post on your Facebook to see if any friends are photographers on the side. I'm doing both of these... I wouldn't pay 450 for shots

    In one of the pregnancy magazines that I get I read that its best to do maternity pictures at 30 weeks. You're belly is at its roundest, the baby hasn't dropped and you aren't as miserable and swollen if you waited later in the pregnancy. I'm having mine done August 20 and its costing us 2000$ for a package of five sessions, a cd with all copyrights and more great goodies.

    Not just for maternity, I have five other sessions that I can do whatever I want with. For example, were doing one of the five sessions as our babys newborn session and we get 50 custom birth announcemen cards and framing work done.
