Perineal massage?

Have any of you ever done this and does it really work? I might have to have a c-section (myomectomy back in 2003) but if I don't I'm curious if this is something I should try. Tearing just sounds so awful. X_X

One of my.clients told me her midwife massaged her for like an hour before birth with one of her sons and she didn't tear one bit. She also wasn't sore or anything after. She said it felt like nothing happened!! Lol my better be prepared to massage me!!

But yes it helps keep you from tearing. Not guaranteed but its worth a shot!!
