I had a leep done in june of 2010..now I go every 2wks for ultrasounds and length measurements..not fun but I love all my pics of the baby I get..just wanted to know what are the other steps to this and how long is the cervix suppose to be
Yes,. I have had a cone biopsy and 2 leeps. I go in thursday for my initial appt and I will be 6 wks and 2 days. Doc said he would want to keep an eye on cervical length. I'm thinking I will be going through the same thing. I will keep you posted @myonly3. I'm surprised they are keeping such a close eye after just one leep. It's great that youre getting such good care.
I went today for my first and I was 4cm and the dr and tech said it was good...but I also know they try and keep some things from you lol..@new_baby_in_oct...its very good care I had an abonormal pap in march of 2010 and frm there I had a copo and then the leep...but know I see 2 drs..my reg and then one from maternal fetal med so I'm at the drs 3 times out the month
@insanepreggochick that's what I'm afraid of...if u don't mind me asking how was the surgery....the way it was explained to me has me scared out my socks
@myonly3 I don't remember the last time I had a normal pap. 4 colpos and 3 procedures later....(all after my first baby) Had a really hard time ttc, took 2 years to get preggo because of scar tissue and shape of my cervix after healing. It was literally the only thing stopping us. After dialating my stenotic cervix, we got preggo right away! Now I'm not sure if I should worry more about the length and it giving early, or it being stenotic and not dialating at all! Lol. Just hoping to get through this pregnancy and have a happy, healthy baby.

@InsanePreggoChick Is this after you had one leep? I'm starting to think I'm going to be in trouble after 3 procedures. They removed small sections each time, but that's a lot of trauma! I'm getting nervous!
@InsanePreggoChick Thanks for the advice. I will try and take it easy, although I am very active as well. My doc actually told me I have a "hostile cervix". Lol. I will try my best to keep her happy!
