2cm dialated 50% effaced!

So I know its different for everyone, but who's been through this before how long did it take to get to ten centimeters? :)
I'm 37 weeks. Almost 38, this is exciting.

    I was 1.5cm and 50% effaced at 36 weeks... I just had my 37 week appt. And the baby's head floated out of my pelvis... I'm now not dilated at all and the baby isn't even in position for birth. I will be 38 weeks Friday.. so anything is possible. I thought I saw an end soon!! But boy was I wrong!!! U just never know with these babies! They come when they want!

    This is my first but ill be 36 weeks Friday n am 1cm and 25% effaced its exciting! Am gunna start walking a lot here soon to see if that helps!

    With me I was dilated for 4 weeks at 1.5cm and 50% with my first and still was induced 8 days late. My second I was 1.5cm and 70% induced and induced as well....so its hard to tell.

    I also was walking 2 miles a day... having sex regularly... and bouncing on exercise ball... I didn't realize you could go BACKWARDS with progress but its possible... I guess regardless were in the last month which is still exciting! :)

    @robininlee83 that blows! I think I scared my little one into dropping into position, on the fourth of july a quarter stick of dynamite went off right next to me and once I got up to walk to the car my vagina bone hurt. Now today the doctor says he dropped haha. I hope yours gets back to where he was soon.

    @firsttime_mommy same here, and eating pineapple. I heard it helps. Plus I don't mind eating it one bit in this hot weather.

    Yeah I heard pineapple juice is better than just eating it lol

    @mommyofganja well if its your first baby you might be safe! My doctor said the baby may have came out of my pelvis because I got pregnant so soon after my first.. its common with subsequent pregnancies. Sure your little one will be here soon! That's good progress for a first baby I think!
