  Rh- means you might need to get a RhoGAM shot. If the father of the baby is also negative, you won't need it.
  
  Without the shot, there is a possibility of antibodies building up in your immune system that can attack the Rh+ fetus.

  Means your blood type is negative.. Im A- so I had to get the shot so my body wldmt try and kill baby if his blood is positive.

  @ashleysplash89.. I'm also Rh- and I've received 2 RhoGAM shots so far.. I'm getting my third and last after delivery..

  Really? Your all getting shots? My doc told me if i have a bad fall bleed or cut myself that only then i get a shot called anti d?!

  I have gotten the shot twice cause I'm o negative n I have seizures so they gave me one when I went in the er n one at my doctors office a month or so later

  I got my rhogam shot at 17 weeks because I fell in the shower. Will be receiving another shot after I give birth if my baby has his fathers blood ab+ its a very common thing, nothing to worry about

  I'm rh- and will be getting the shot at my next appt. I was told you get one around 28 weeks and you only need one after delivery if the babys blood type is +. My son was - ,so I only needed it once before.

  Got the shot samd day i had glucose test....37 weeks today no biggie

  @ashleysplash89 I had to get mine because I had a miscarriage scare at 14 weeks and the second shot I got it at 28 weeks after a possitive antibody screening...

  Ill get my shot when in 2.5 weeks when i get my next glucose test and growth scan

  Ok thanks ladies..was told that if all going well nd i dont fall or bleed il be gettin shot at delivery..must read up on all dis now!!
