Awe so sorry.... I know the feeling hun.I've been married unfortunately twiceand neither time my dad walked me down the isle or danced with me. My bro walked me down the isle the first time then my two grandpas walked me down the isle the second time. It hurt but he was an alcoholic and wasn't around when I got married. Hope it gets better. *hugs*
Well my brothers are not going because one of them cant leave the state and the other one disowned me and so me and my hubby are going to walk together
I didn't get to dance with my dad either. He was never been around and he never met me. And my grandpa died in 1999. So my moms boyfriend walked me down and we didn't dance. I don't really like the guy but my mom made me ask him how dumb. I wish I could have another wedding and make it better.
im so sorry hun. I cry everytime too because of the same reason. My dad is still alive and he walked me down the aisle (well it was a road we were married outside) and it was just a tiny ceremony with no reception or dance because of funding. Now he's weak and sick and im afraid before we get the money for our big reception, he will be gone
I know how you feel too. I lost my dad when I was 10yrs... He was 36yrs. Then 2yrs ago we lost my hubbys dad. Neither of them saw us get married and will never meet their granddaughter. It breaks my hearts, but I know they are always with me. At least she will get to meet her great grandpa, who has been like a dad since he died. He have me away when we got married in sept. (looked pimp in his zoot suit). Hugs to you though hon.
My real father is no good the man my ma was married to thank his she divorced him tried killing me my ma and their son so he was no good and the only man u knew as my father was murdered behind a liquor store while he was asleep (he ended up Homeless and was a alcoholic)
Thanks everyone I did not think this many people had not danced with there dads or not had him at there wedding it kind makes me feel not alone about this
My dad is alive and well and didn't come to my wedding. Everybody was mad at me for getting married because we did it so fast. Before we got married, I tried to get my parents to meet my husband. My mom came to the lunch I set up, but my dad didn't show. He was just mad that I was dating a man twice my age. My dad finally met him a month after I was married and when he showed up, he was baked. >_> I've been with my husband for nearly a year now and they get along much better.
