irritable uterus.

Just wondering if anyone has ever had this. I was in hospital for it for 2 nights. The doc didn't really say much. Does it cause early labour or ur waters to break early. I know the cramping can last the rest of my pregnancy And it is driving me crazy.

  • Its a blanket term they use when contractions are irregular and aren't causing any change in your cervix. I was in l&d triage one night and I swear they told every woman that came in for monitoring the same thing.
  • They've told me that multiple times.
  • I had it multiple times when I was pregnant. I have heard it can cause early labor but I had it since I was 28 wks and even when I was 39 wks I still wasn't dilated at all! So im guessing it depends on the woman
  • Thanks ladies, I don't want my little boy yet am only 26 weeks. Never had it with any of my other pregnancy.
  • That is what my crakping started out as at 2v weeks and I ended up worrying from that point on. Until this last week when I actually started progreasing from my contractions. However I am also now 37 weeks.
Usually irratability is just irritating as they say.
  • Also with the more pregnanciea that you have they say you will notice more contractions. This is my 3rd so they say if I get pregnant again then it will be more prominent next time.
