husbands attitude

edited February 2011 in Pregnant
So lastnight I told my hubby my back hurts, he had the nerve to tell me to stop "wiggin" out and "to get over it" I was like wow really!! Then he fell asleep as I tossed and turned in pain. I have scoliosis and so this extra weight from my belly puts more strain on my crooked lower back.
He just doesn't understand, and sometimes I wish the men understood what we go through. Lol: )

  • Aw that's so mean. Has he been understanding through most of the pregnancy? Mine will tell me to stop babying it when I set something down because Ill start cramping. I do wish they could know how it feels. I'm 18 weeks how far are you?
  • I underdstand completly! I have scoliosis too and the back pain sucks! I do back excerises everyday to help build my back muscles but the pain is still there. My bf makes similar comments to me, sometimes I get a back massage but usually he says women just blow up the whole pregnancy thing!! I would love for him to go thru what we have to for just 1 day so he would know how it feels, emotionally and physically!!
  • I'm 25 1/2 weeks: )
And yes. If only they knew! and he says the same thing. I'm like I'm tired, and in pain and most times he's understanding but there's times like these where he's just a jerkoff!
    :) gotta love him though
  • I'm 23 weeks and my hubby is really supportive but sometimes I get the feeling he thinks I'm being a baby about it.......wish he could be 23 weeks for a day and get to feel all the hip and leg pain and the sudden sharp pains cuz you moved wrong...
  • Yeah. This is our fourth child, I'm 22 weeks and still not showing, but feeling worse with this one than any of the others. Unfortunately, hubby mostly acts like im not preggers. Completely ignores it. I understand that he doesn't "get it" but he could try to fake some enthusiasm once in a while, you know what i mean? Just for me.
  • You Know they say just cause we are prego doesn't me you have the right to be a bitch but I think some men deserve to be bitched at... Lol yeah my hubby is more snappy then I am now that I'm pregnant. He uses me being pregnant as a reason for me complaining. It's funny cause I just told him last night if he can remember to wash all the dishes please (promise no attitude) and the first thing he said was "go to bed" implying i'm tired and grumpy when I was in a great mood. Ass#%$&! Lol now that I cooled down I plan on taking to him. Communication is your best friend, so I don't stress yourself and the baby outand keep dwelling on it. Let him know in a calm voice that he really hurt your feelings and you don't think he's being sensitive to your needs. Good luck. :X
