Ok so we r talking about supplies we need. I mentioned not getting a baby tub and just washing r son in the kitchen sink. Well he mentioned this floatie device u lay in the tub and its shaped like a baby. U lay the baby in it so he's on his back and fill ur tub with a few inches of water and the foam thingie floats so u can wash him without worrying of him choking on water. Have any of u seen or heard of this or should we patent it now lol? I've only seen the plastic tubs that sit kinda upright to wash them in. Does anyone have a link for this floatie thing, cuz I think he's crazy but he wants me to ask u ladies lol

I have the foam thingie, lol! I got it at Target for about $6-8.00... I like it because it has a little plastic disc built into it that tells you if the water is too hot! I used it in the bathtub w/ my first b/c my sink was too small, and I really liked it. Good luck

He might be talking about the foam bath thingy. I'm not sure if it floats, but it would be elevated 6 inches or so. I really do recommend a tub that converts into a seat. It kept my munchkin strapped in while he could still play. Those ones are usually inexpensive.

@vette_devil what's the name of it or brand? I wanna see what it looks like. I know of the little chair ones where they sit up in them, but he's saying its flat like they lay down in it when they can't support their heads yet.

Yes, it was flat, and bright yellow. I think it was made by Munchkin... I got it 3 years ago when I had my first baby, so I hope they still carry it!!! She laid on it until she could sit up, then I used a rubber bath mat to keep her from slipping around.

@mshahir I'm bound and determined to find this tub thingie lol....or at the least prove my hubby is nuts, but its looking like I'm the one that's nuts. oh.well I blame it on my baby brain!

i had one with my first daughter 9 years ago.it was green lol. i like the little tubs better though.

I seen something like that when I registered today at Babies r Us. It was a pic of a foam thing you put in the sink & it holds babies in a sitting kinda position. Not sure if it'd be good for newborns. The pic on the box was a maybe 5-6 month old.

Yeah they have different shapes. Thats all I use for my newborns! They are cheap and actually work great

Either way I think they r pretty cool. I just don't like big bulky things cluttering my house that I never use. But this seems useful
