membranes stripped tomorrow! any positive experiences?

I am hoping to have a vbac this time around, so I have never experienced anything like this... what are some takes on it? Painful, not painful? Worked, or unsuccessful? Thank you!

    I got stripped 4days after my due date. It didn't help I still went another 4 over due. But she didn't hurt me at all. There was only a trace amt of blood on her glove too. Hope it's successful for you.

    I got mines done at 38 wks with my first and he was born a week later. It's uncomfortable, but worth it. Haha.

    I got stripped w/ my first at 38 weeks...I started having contractions the same day, so I walked a lot and went up and down stairs...I has my daughter the next day!
