HELP C-SECTION MOMS!!! tmi...

edited July 2011 in Health
Did you have bad gas after having a c/s and/or getting your tubes tied? If you did, what helps with the pain from it and how long was it a problem? I'm miserable and my doc just says it's normal but not what to do about it...

  • Yes I did and like gas x helped. I had a section no tubes tied tho.
  • I had it after my 2nd c-section...i was put to sleep with that one and they said it was the sleepy gas. I think they gave me something like an antacid but that was almost 10yrs ago and im old and preggers so my brain isnt functioning.
  • Yes, I used this acid drink its nasty you can get it at Walmart, ask the pharmacist but it helps so much!
  • WALK WALK WALK. get that gas moving, you'll feel better.
  • Thank you all so much for the help!! I'll do just about anything to get rid of this gas.
  • Yes i had gas after both of my c sections...gas x will help and walking is the best thing u can do for gas and the pain because the more u lay around the more the pain sits in and the harder it will b for u to heal and the more gas u will have
  • I also suggest walking!!
  • Terrible gas! Walking and or taking gas x or beano
  • Yes walkn... thatz why they make u walk in hospital... and you will be constipated... bowel softners wrk great!!!
I had c sec and tubes tight!!
  • I have had 3 surgeries. Two were laparoscopy and the 3rd was a csection. I had horrible gas pains with all 3 but the one and only thing that helped was walking & lots of it!! It helps to get moving & your insides moving. I'm having a csection with this baby & praying I won't get bad gas pains. Good luck :)
  • I've never had one but my mom said to walk and what helped her a lot also was to get on all fours, and push back a little like you are stretching and you'll release a lot of gas. Sounds odd, but she swears by it lol.
  • I never knew this.... good to know.

They gave me gas tablets like mylicon. Walking gets it out but it's still painful. Try laying on your left side with your right leg pulled up to your stomach.
