Anybody pregnant but without their partner?

Hi all. Found out I was pregnant just as my partners tour was confirmed. He's in a band and is travelling to the U.S. it may seem to you that he should not be leaving, but it was because of my insistence that he is. I am a music student myself and understand that he has to do this. I'm just wondering if anybody else is in a similar situation, if you need to go through most of the pregnancy without your partner. I hope to hear from somebody :)

    I'm only tcc but if I get pregnant soon my husband will be gone. He deploys in June but has a lot if work up leading to the deployment. He will be gone weeks at a time and will miss the birth. Do you have family nearby?

    I actually don't. We're from Ireland and I moved over to London last year to return to college as a mature student. So I'm in the middle of a degree at the moment and all my family and friends are at home in Ireland. I do have one sister here, but it is difficult to see her and I can't depend on her all the time for support. I'm just feeling a bit lonely and isolated. I'm usually quite independent, but feeling needy and clingy all the time now. So you're trying to conceive at the moment? Is that what tcc means?

    Yes we are. We have a 3 yr old son and ready to complete our family. Luckily for me all my family lives about 2 hours away. I'm sorry you have to go thru thus alone but you will be ok. So many emotions right now.
