My husband wants our son to be circumcised. I am wondering how long after birth do they do it? And what some of you ladies have gone thru when you choose circumcision.
My son had his done when he was one day old...it looked painful but it didn't really bother him. It healed pretty fast.. If I had more boys I would have it done again... Theres more pros then cons
They might do it in the hospital before you leave. They did my sons a couple of days after we were released from the hospital. I'm having another boy and will be doing it again. I didn't go in the room when they did it my hubby went with him and will be going again. Im not going to lie I cried.
Honestly, after being with a man who was NOT circumcised, I can say that it seems as though no matter how clean they keep it (trust me, he is a very clean guy), it develops an odd smell. =/ Like, you know how women have a scent? Men who are uncircumcised do too. They have near constant moisture underneath the foreskin like women do between the lips.
they usually do it the next day he is born, but you have to sign papers stating whethere you want him circumcised or not, before he is born, then they do it, you can tell them you want to know when they are going to do it, or just tell them you dont want to know cause you will be emotional and cry, it doesnt hurt baby and i think its better to get them circumcised, i will be getting me baby boy done
Thanks for everyones input I an definitely getting him circumcised, just wanted know when its done and how it went basically. I am nervous of course guess that's the mommy in me.
Don't be nervous it should be done at the hospital and just remember that it takes a few days to heal but I have a 7 year old boy and I'm so glad it was done he stays clean and its easy for him to clean himself but just a for warn when he pees for the first couple days it will burn but follow the instructions the hospital gives u on carting for it u use vasalline and I put a little on the diaper itsself so it wouldn't rub against him I had my hubby go with as well he said its just a snip and its over not to bad.
Im on my third son and wont be cercomsizing him.. Why cut of the tip ugh.. My oldest is ten hes never had infections.. Thats a crock.. And the bd isnt cercusised and hes 30 never had an issue.. Just saying.. Its personal preference.. They usually do it wwithin the first wk.. And if daddys like that his boys should look the same lol..
