mucus plug?

I am 38 weeks. Me and my boyfriend just had sex and it hurt it felt like bad contractions so he pulled out and I was bleeding...a lot. I went to the bathroom and The first little bit was like a pink booger and then I really started bleeding like period blood. This was 2 hours ago. Now its gone. Is that just my mucus plug?

    Uuuugggghhhhh I feel so stupid. Like I don't know anything about being pregnant or labor :(

    Yes that was your plug, has the blood slowed any? May need to call your Dr

    The blood has slowed down a lot . I called the hospital and asked them to page my midwife and she didn't call me. So an hour later my family was yelling at me to go to the hospital so I went because I didn't know what else to do. I'm 20 years old and this is my first. Well the nurse asked me questions and I answered them and she called the midwife that was on call. Well I don't know her she's from out of the area she is just filling in because the other midwife is on vacation. I am so frustrated right now because She was rude and made me feel uncomfortable. she ASKED me if I wanted to be checked and I didn't know how to answer her question. I was just confused because she's the dr. She should know if I need to be checked or not. I'm not having severe contractions and I'm not leaking so I just told her no I didn't need to be checked.
