1st day of last period compared to estimated date of conception?

Just a question that's been plaguing me...

Okay, so I don't have sex often, so it was easy to figure out the exact date I got pregnant. I know the doctors determine your estimated due date and how far along you are by the first day of your last period. The first day of my last period was Dec. 21st, so they're saying I'm 9w1d, but the day I conceived was January 4th. Does this mean I'm not as far along as I think I am? Is it likely that my due date will get pushed back?

Ugh! Being a first timer at this can really suck sometimes... Any advice? Anyone?

    No thats ur due date ur 9w and 1d if ur last period was 12/21 that will make ur due date sep 27 2011 which means u concieved jan 4th.. Is that the due date they gave u?

    You're pretty close to me. My last period was Dec 23rd. I either conceived on Jan 6th or 7th. I'm 8w5d.

    Yes, that's what they told me. I just found it a little confusing, seeing as how I wasn't pregnant on the 21st of Dec and that's where they stated counting down.

    Well the reason y prob is because u dont just become pg the day u have sex..thats y we actually are pg fir 40 wks because the eggs takes a while to become a fetus. The due date is 3months behind ur last period then add 7 days..thats how u determine the day and i suppose adding a week is the time it take for u to develop a fetus

    my dates were not as perfect....mine estimated due date was off 1 wk based off of my ultrasound....but i love the next due date better cause its the day b4 my husbands bday

    After ur off ur period ur obvulating and eggs aee release while ur on ur period so ur fertal I think thats how u spell it lol

    None of us r pregnant during the first 2 weeks or so. We have our period but don't actually ovulate for 2 more weeks.It's just the way they calculate gestation. Ur dates r really close to mine. My lmp was Dec 18th which would have given me a edd of Sept 24 but my initial scan last week said edd of Sept 27th. I kno I conceived the 1st week of Jan cuz me n bf had a huge fight a week before where he stayed with his mom and came home on Jan 1st. my ovulation week ;-)

    @brownsugar you would be due on the same day as me which is 11.5 cuz I had my period the same time.

    Don't be shocked if you go 2 wks before or after your due date. I went 2 wks early with my first. Good luck and Enjoy!

    @MsKrystal lol u kno it sounds weird but everytime I see ppl with the same due date it it makes me laugh bc idky but I think how funny that we may have been having sex at the same time both got pregnant n now r conversing on pregly! Lol what else is funny I took 3 pregnancy tests to verify and they were the same ones in ur picture :-))

    Sounds like we all will have due dates around each other. My lmp was 12 25

    @sariemama3 Gah!!! We're pregly twins! Lol. We soooo got it on on the same day and got pregnant. Did you do it on the morning or at night? Lol! I took all three tests within 2 he's of eachother. Each of my coworkers bought me one. They were more excited than me.

    Lol! Probably both like I said it was right after a huge fight so we had like 3 days of makeup sex LOL that's why I said first week of Jan n not a specific day lol. I took one test before I went to work n the other 2 on my lunch. I kinda already knew anyway but I wanted to b sure
