diaper champ/genie?

Do you really need one? Is it useful? At my shower I got two packs of diaper champ refill bags.....but no diaper champ....lol
My baby's room is right by the kitchen and a bathroom...so there's a trashcans around. And if its a smelly one I can put it outside. Idk if I should buy a diaper champ or just return the refils and get something I didn't get that I need. Thoughts?

I have the diaper genie and we have used it since day one coming home from the hospital. To me its better then having to run outside to your trash can after everytime the have a bm, believe me they start to get foul, especially as they get older and eat solid foods. The bags are scented so we just usually empty ours every 2-3 days depending on how full it gets.

I guess it just depends on your situation. I live on the second floor of an apartment complex and it would be impossible for me to always go out to throw it away in the dumpster. Therefore, I know I would absolutely need one.

I thought it was a waste with my first baby so I didnt get one, but now with my twins on the way I did get one...the thing is it is very annoying to keep running outside to toss the poo ones and even with just the wet ones it stinks! Im really glad I have one this time around, I dont think you will regret it.

I purchased a diaper champ for my son bc you can use regular garbage bags. No special bags needed. It worked fine.
This time around we got the arm and hammer one. Dont kno how it works yet...
