39 Weeks Today!!!! :) Maybe TMI - but question at bottom please
Ah, I can't believe it!!! :-D I am so excited ... this is my first pregnancy and I was so blessed to have skipped the morning sickness and most other "pregnant stuff" :-P I had it real easy and am praying that when I go to have my little girl, God will also bless me with an easy -safe labor and delivery.
Ok... as of yesterday (thurs 7-28) at my 39 wk appt, she said, "You're measuring 37 weeks - that means you've dropped so lets hope for some progress!!!" she looked so excited and I was hyped! She checked me and nope, I'm still 1cm dilated BUT I'm 50% effaced. She said, "well, some babies like to stick around until 41 weeks!" haha I was like "noooo " Ok.. so I didn't cry BUT I wished I would have progressed.
QUESTION:
While she was checking me - it was the most painful check I've had so far. She was twisting her fingers and stuff a little so I just bit my lip and kept looking up. Well, when she was done, all she said was for me to walk when I start to cramp and pray I progress by my next appt this coming Wed (I'm due Friday) and if not, they'll talk about meds to help make me dilate and if I don't dilate, of course they'll have to perform a c-section. BUT... when she left the room and I cleaned myself up from the check, I was so sore and some *sorry if TMI* mucousy stuff that I've never seen before came out quite a bit. Since then, I've been having real painful contractions on and off. I heard that when people get a membrane sweep, it's real uncomfortable and I was just wondering if perhaps she tried to do something like that? Because I've never felt like this before. :-/ But whatever helps get this show on the road :-D
Thank You & PLEASE PLEASE help pray for progress. I am so ready to have my Jemma! :X
