Baby transverse @ 29 wks

edited July 2011 in Third Trimester
I know I still have time for baby to get into position but I don't want any surprises at delivery. I've read I can help her turn by doing like a downwards facing dog. Has anyone tried this or any other techniques?

  • I tried a ice pack n she slept right through it. I wonder if my anterior placenta is preventing her from feeling the cold.
  • My baby was also transverse at 36 weeks.... its pretty much less thann like 1 % they will stay tha way.. don't worry. Babies either turn and go head down.... or go up and turn breech. RARELY stay transverse. My girl unfortunately went breech at 37 weeks... but I had an external version and was able to have a vaginal delivery. I wouldn't waste too much time on trying to get the baby to turn... I did ABSOLUTELY everything on list and it didn't work for me. But your baby at 29 weeks is smaller... so it may work who knows! Go for a swim!
  • @Mama2be11_4_11 I was having hip pain for several wks. Turned out my pelvis had shifted. Now im in physical therapy and it helps. I just hope it doesn't cause a problem during delivery. Dr said I could have increased pain. Ugh

    Thanks ladies for ur input
