Almost 37 weeks and cervix is high and closed?

I'm 36 weeks and 5 days pregnant. At my internal exam today my doctor said my cervix was closed and was high...what does this mean? Will I go into labor late?

    Ill be 38weeks tomorrow and I'm high and closed to. I'm so ready for this to be done

    Yep, 38 weeks tomorrow for me too and I'm only 1cm, high and thick!!! If she doesn't come by 41 weeks, they'll have to do something too. :(

    Yup I'm 39 weeks and closed, don't feel bad... just keep moving around, go walking, stay active.

    I'm now 39 weeks due next Sunday! Last Wednesday my cervix was still closed but was thinning a little. I walk 1/2 mile EVERY day and still nothing. This is my first pregnancy and I just want to hold my baby Janessa Alesia Grace! Any suggestions for safe self inducing methods?
