@risalee7 I think I'll ask for different size diapers, I'll only be able t o afford the store brands and that way I'll get more huggies and pampers, I heard they're awesome. :-) @azmom I just need to think of a nice way to ask for reciepts, don't want to hurt any feelings :-) @squirt299 I'll probably invite 20-30 people, but don't expect most of them to show up. Are you doing co-ed?
@squirt299 lol I'll probably get my bf dad to bbq or something, and I think I'm having mine at my bf house so I'll probably invite some of our guy friends so they can all have their awkward little group until the all decide to go pla black ops or something haha

It was sorta big. There were about 25 people there. I actually scheduled it so that my grandparents from England could attend. They were in the area for my uncle's wedding and my baby shower was the day before they left for the wedding.
my shower was just last sat on the 23rd n I got lots of diapers all different sizes bc I had a diaper raffle game I got a whole bunch of clothes in different sizes also. ohhh n blankets n recieving towels
My shower was the 16th and I got LOADS of clothes, most of which we returned bc it was just too much. And when I say too much, we got $215 in store credit to babies r us. Got a lot of diapers and wipes, bath stuff (washrags, towels, shampoo/lotion), and we got all of our big ticket items (which we were very lucky to get). If you really want to buy something, I suggest onesies (we only got one 4-pack), pajamas, and socks. If you do register at babies r us, you can still add stuff to your registry after the shower...and I recommend that if you didn't get something but also didn't think to put it on your registry before bc they'll give you a registry completion coupon (mine was 15% off total) and you can also use their 20% off coupons (1 per item on you're buying) as well as manufacturer's coupons when you complete your registry. You can save a lot if you plan it out.
my shower is next weekend and i already bought pretty much all the big stuff (bed, swing,carseat) because im pretty sure nobodys gonna spend that much. I really hope i get diapers, wipes, lotions/bathsoap, bottles and blankets!
I got a lot of clothes. Even if someone bought something off the registry they also bought a little outfit. Luckily I got a range from newborn to 12 month old sizes. I think baby clothes are too cute for people to resist.
In all reality as long as you buy in bigger boxes the store brand diapers aren't really cheaper than name brand. Especially at places like target or if you have a sams club or costco, just so you know. I can get 100 packs if pampers for 30 bucks or less if I shop around I got one box of diapers at my shower so I would def do the diaper raffle, and don't open any of the boxes! The hospital will give you tons when you deliver that way when you get home you will really know the size you need
Im having a baby & pamper shower on aig 6! So im super nervous nd exited:)! I have no idea whay to expect! But im hoping I get enough stuff. im 30 wks so ill have plenty of time:)!
I got 5 bumbos!! Lol. I got 3 monitors and two diaper genies (I didn't register for a diaper genie). I got very few clothes but my mom bought me tons of clothes. I got 95% of the big ticket items too! We were really lucky.
I just had my shower yesterday and got 3 bath tubs, tons of 0-3 month clothing (need to return a lot because I had purchased a lot myself), diapers and wipes. There were about 40 guests and only 10 things were bought off my registry and only one person gave me a gift receipt so its a pain trying to figure out where to return things.
