At my last doctor's appointment, I got the OK to try some home induction methods. I originally wanted to try Castrol Oil, but I have hemeroids (tmi, sorry), and I definately don't wanna go that route right off. So, I read up on nipple stimulation, and I'm gonna give it a go! :)

My starting time is 4:45 AM CST. :)

    Lol that nipple stimulation works ! Lol nm one day I was trying to calm my nipples ( they were too hard.leakin tmi I kno but I was tryna calm the girls lol ) and next thing u kno my back was hurtin like I got stomped on and the bh kicked in over time I stopped before I put my self in labor. Mind u I didnt kno anything about that way of inductin untill I google it... Lol

    @Fashion_Junky91 I found out about it way early on because someone had mentioned it on here. Lol. Thank God, because I was absolutly clueless! But, tonight I Googled it, and read on a few websites that it is the only at home induction method that is medically proven to work, and trust, I believe it! I'm having dull contractions, nothing major, like I can't even time them, but woahh buddy I know they're happening! Lol :)

    @Fashion_Junky91 I walked & had sex all last week, but this week it's 100+ degrees out, so walking had to stop. & sex started to make me nauseous, so we just kinda gave up on trying anything. But, I thought to bring it up last Tuesday at my doctor's appointment, and they told me to go for it since my baby is already almost 8 pounds & measuring over 38 weeks. Nipple stimulation just seemed to be the easiest & most natural way, so I figured i'd try this first.

    I read if you use a pump it can start it up. How you doing it? And I also read that you have to do it in continuous intervals

    @ashes I'm kinda holding off on buying a pump until I know for sure I'll be able to BF. This is gonna be kinda TMI, but I'm taking my nipple & areola inbetween my thumb & index finger and rolling it to kinda copy a baby nursing (which is how I read to do it & I hope it's right!). I'll keep 'rolling' it until I start to have a contraction, then I stop & wait 15 minutes then start again. :) Seems to be doing something

    That's a good idea! Maybe some lotion or oil to be able to slick it better? Lol. Are you doing both at the same time or just one? If I have to end up inducing myself I'm going to do this one first. I know it'll work for me because the bf played with them too much at 29 weeks and I almost went to the doc because my stomach cramped for almost two hours!

    @ashes Lol, I didn't think about that. :) &You only do 1 at a time. Doing both at the same time could cause your uterus to be hyperstimulated & end up putting the baby in distress. But, it definately works. I've been doing it for about an hour, stopping for contractions of course, and I'm feeling a lot of pressure around my bikini line & in my butt (sorry, TMI) :)

    Maybe I should try 15 minutes of nipple stimulation then 15 minutes of walking? The gravity might help! Lol

    I've read about nipple simulation in my book and it says do not try nipple simulation because it can cause really strong and long contractions that can actually be toxic to baby..

    @dueinaugust11 I read that can happen if your uterus is hyperstimulated, and that if you do decide to try nipple stimulation, you have to follow the exact directions & not over do it.

    Ok good. I'm glad you did your research lol. I felt scared for you in case you didn't know. And I'm sure there is a right and a wrong way to do it, so good luck to you hunny! :)

    I give up for a little while. It seems to cause some contractions, but nothing major or regular. So, I'm gonna break for a little while, and try again later today. If nothing happens, gonna try having sex & walking along with the stimulation. :)

    So, it's 10:00 AM CST, and in about 15 minutes I'm gonna give it another go. I'm having irregular contractions now, so maybe that'll level them out. :)

    @Fashion_Junky91 I think it'll take a few sessions before it'll work. I'm not giving up on it just yet! Lol. I don't have a ball, but I do sit on the end of the bed to bounce & rotate my hips! Lol. It's the same basic idea.

    Are u dialated at all?? I heard the castor oli doesn't work if u aren't and I tried it when I waa dilated and I got nothing except having to poop:(

    Okie dokie...I did mine with orange juice it helped....just make sure u stir it a lot and chug lol
