worst baby shower ever!!!!!

Ughhhhhhhhh I had my baby shower today and only 2 people (not including family) showed up,and I text and called people and some didn't answer then others said they were on There way and never showed! Then after the shower everyone text and said sorry and some lame ass excuse, I did get a lot of stuff but its thay fact of no one showed up, my own mom didn't even show up. Im pissed

    I'm very sorry :( I hope you still managed to have a little bit of fun.. Id be very disapointed if that happened... I was talking to one of my friends and she didnt believe in babies showers because she thought it was "begging for gifts" I was SO aggravated....

    U weent the only one I only got 5 presents for the babyshower I invites about 60, people and 5 showed...o and we live in an apartment and we had the babyshower outside and so w.e guest came were sitting outside on the chairs and the sprinklers turned on so everyone and everything got wet

    The exact thing happened to me! Literally only 2 ppl showed up. One of which who made my cake! My mom didn't show. My SIL didn't show. I was /am very hurt.

    That's how mine was: ( and I'm a social butterfly, i have TONS of close friends and sent out 50 hand made invites & only 3 friends showed up, 1 of whom didn't bring a gift but brought her 4 kids and mother! Lol!! Its the thought that counts and my other friend donna busted her butt making my shower soo adorable and made me a handmade bedding set so it wasn't a total loss & I'm grateful

    I'm sorry your baby shower was a disappointment. Mine was last week. There was a decent turn out...but most of them were friends of my mom. I only had 3 friends show up. One called and told me she was sick (and mailed me her present bc she lives over an hour away). One of my close friends completely forgot about it and called me the next day to apologize. Then there are the few that I still haven't even heard from. I don't know why people tell you they're coming and then flake on you at the last minute. My mom had the shower catered at a banquet hall and had to pay per person for the food. I'm just glad we still had people show up or she would have wasted a ton of money.

    Yea im upset but over it now i now that no one really cared my i got a few things, but this is really why i never wanted one in the first place but my sister went to all this trouble just to do it and no one came and the people said they would come one of my best friends was counting down the days up till 3 days ago and she stop textin i text her and said next time u need me to be there for u u can for get it! one of my friends showed up with her boyfriend and sat all but them slefs didnt say a word and then lwft after they ate and didnt bring a gift i was like wtf

    Mine wasnt that great....it was maibly family. And my close friends came. But I guess it just didnt match my expectations. Im having a second one sunday. Just for girls. My othrr was co-ed.

    I invited mostly family just because I knew that's all that would show up but my "friend" of 14 years wouldn't answer her phone or anything and the next day said she "lost her phone" whatever it will be ok a$$ holes will be a$$ holes
