In the delivery room

edited February 2011 in Pregnant
So my husband just got all pissed off at me because I told him I would like my best friend to be in the room with me when I give birth... he is so controling. He said no one is going to be in the room but him me and the Dr. He got so mad that he stormed off to bed with out me... shouldn't it be my decision ...I mean im the one giving birth.

  • Wow, I'm sorry. Maybe he wants it to be a special moment for just the two of you which is understandable but that was not the way to tell you how he feels. Why can't men communicate???
  • @coolbabybeans ion think its in their nature ;)
  • Men are way more complicated than we are....I swear!!!
  • Lol... it is just hard too because I was just talking about it and he got it in his mind that I had made my mind up and that's how its going to be... that is not it at all... I just wanted to talk about it and he just got pissed and stormed off... ugh... I worry too cuz he is a firefighter and the baby is due in fire season... what if he doesn't make it to the birth.... gotta have back up plan! My last birth was 20 min... so this one is going to be even faster...

  • Thank you mama_kat. Good suggestions. I wasn't trying to say it is the plan to have her in there.. he just wants it his way or the highway... wish we could better communicate :(
  • @Mama_kat that's what I'm doing cos i want my mam in the room but he wants it to be special for just me and him says she wasn't there when we conceived lol, so i see his point so she's going to be there until I'm around 8cm dilated then wait outside :)
  • Hopefully my husband and I can agree on it that way... good idea. Thanks ladies.
