I'm about to sit on the edge of this bed & bounce until I barf!!

I'm having contractions in my back, and OMG, they hurt like a son of a b*tch! I can't time them, though, because once they stop, my back is sore as f*ck, and I can't pinpoint when it stopped. SOOO, I'm gonna bounce & bounce & bounce until I just can't bounce anymore. I hope SOMETHING happens!!

  • How far are you
  • @snreda 36+5 but measuring 38+ (which is what my original EDD put me as)
  • You could use tennis balls for counter pressure.
  • Take a hot shower. Do some squats
  • Or take a hot bath, have some sex (or orgasm however) have a glass of wine. Try to relax
  • @misskristin Tennis balls? How does that work? I've never heard of it.
@snread I'm gonna try squats & lunges if the bouncing doesn't work. I know for sure they're not BH, because they won't go away if I move. & I know for sure I'm not dehydrated.

  • @babymcbride8_27 Have someone roll tennis balls over your lower back where the pressure/pain is the most. Applying pressure until you feel some relief. You could also get on all fours and have someone push up and in on your hips as if trying to lift them towards your spine. Back pain and then contractions were my hated enemy during the last few weeks of my pregnancy with my son. I already have lower back pain with this one, thankfully the tennis balls really help. I can even sit against some pillows with the tennis balls in place and apply pressure when hubby isn't home.
  • Maybe your water will break :D

@babymcbride8_27.....Bounce....squat, sounds like your having some major contractions :-D I'm 36+5 too.....you go so I can follow! *labor dust* (keep us updated)
  • Is ur man there? Have sex! I've heard stories of womens water braking during sex! Lol! Worth a shot!
  • Yep.....@mandac10 is right....sex!!!! The rougher the better. And make sure he goes inside you (i know tmi, but it does help stimulate) Good luck!
  • Well, I had some pretty intense contractions that stayed at 5 minutes apart for almost 30 minutes, but they got irregular & eventually stopped. We'll have to try sex and other things next time, because I'm absolutely exhausted now. Tomorrow it gets serious. Operation get this girl out will be in full effect.

  • Yes have sex. My mom swares thats how my brother came quickly lol. Her dr told her to go home and have sex and later that night she had him lol good luck!
  • Good luck mama! Lots of labor dust**********
  • Lol this is too funny! I literally bounced on my bed for at least an hour last night. When my contractions stopped went for a walk, inserted my epo, dh and I had rough sex and nothing! Booo :-(
  • About 40 minutes ago, I started to doze off, but my contractions started again. Nothing major, just a real uncomfortable feeling. 8-| My back is the only thing that actually hurts. I've already went through false labor once before, and I'm hoping this isn't another round. I kinda want to go to L&D to see what they say, but in the same breath, I don't want to be disappointed. :( Please send a ton of baby dust my way!
  • Lots of dust to you! Keep us updated!
  • It sounds silly, but if you get on ur hands & knees then rock ur bottom back & forth it helps. Somehow it helps the baby get in a better position that doesn't hurt ur back as much.
Good luck, hope it all goes well!
  • @Wilsomom I've never heard of that. Do I rock side to side?
  • When your belly gets tight does it feel like its on the top of your belly?
  • @second_time_mommy7 It starts at the top of my bump, and then spreads down until my whole bump is hard/tight. The whole thing lasts about 35 seconds, and then starts to loosen up.
  • Yeah, you rock side to side - ur bum that is...lol!
  • i just want you to know that the mental picture of this literally made me smile. lol... hope ur doing alright girly!!!
  • Ouch! I had back labor with my first, & it did make me barf almost as soon as I got to the hospital! It's the worst! But if you go on your hands & knees & rock it should help a little, probably not much, but it's worth a try until you head to l&d! :)
