epidural question please help!

edited August 2011 in Pregnant
I had my daughter a month ago and had an epidural. For the past couple weeks I have had a cold tingling sensation on my left shoulder blade. Could this be from the epidural? My doctor appt is in two weeks can someone help me until then

  • I'm not sure. I had the epi and still have back pain, so I wouldn't be surprised if it were.
    Bump for ya.

  • I don't know if that's from the epi but I get that sometimes. It comes and goes. For me it usually happens when I'm at work *I do data entry so ten hour days sitting on my butt* I just figure its a nerve thing I can usually get it to go away with a bit if walking and repoitioning
  • @natashalynn thank you. I also have back pain but I figured it was prolly from that.
@Richjen24 I haven't heard of anyone with the same symptom so it has me aworried but thank you.
@beaded_bunny I haven't had this problem until I had my daughter and I'm doing everything the same so Idk but thank you

  • @mommy2isaiahngiselle thank you that is a very good point I just don't know what else it could be.
  • It could just be from being a new mom! We spend so much time looking down, feeding and admiring our new babies, you may have pinched a nerve in your neck. Check your posture, stretch, and I would see a chiropractor if you feel comfortable with that!
  • with my first daughter I had an epidural and the effects use to make my lower back ache when I was in a cold area or cold weather period. Everyone's body takes to it differently. As long as it not excruciating pain your doctor may have some better suggestions for you
  • Oooh use this as an excuse to go get a massage!!
  • @ashleyz that's a good idea. I'm not a first time mom though and this never happened with my first. But It does make sense.
@nyla2011 it is def not cold here. I wish it were lol
  • @due_in_July lol I live in Miami so I know what you mean.. but I meant like when your house is cold from the ac. Or cold movie theatres, etc. That's the only time I would have the back pains from the epidural.. but then again I had to have two doses because eventually it wears off!!
  • @nyla2011 it tends to do it completely at random regardless If its hot or cold. It's just extremely puzzling how it just started so If its not epidural related j just don't understand
