  • Bump?? Plz help ladies neone
  • im sorry. i have no idea. i have heard of 15and 20% but usually nothing below that. but here's a bump for ya
  • I don't understand what you are asking. Us your fluid low? Or is she small? Low fluid can be an issue with the babies kidneys. 9% can be a big deal depending on what its about.

I don't know too much. But I've heard that with low fluid, eating well, drinking lots of water, and laying on your left side so the baby gets more oxygen is good. And if the fluid is low, they can do saline injections into the sac, weekly to get the fluids up to the level they need. It sounds like your baby's weight is normal for 24 weeks, which is good.
  • I saw something about 7% being okay for something but honestly I have no idea about anything of that. :/ sorry I can't be a bit more of a help!! Eat some pickles tho, they make you obtain water and they make you drink more both of which can help replenish your fluid.
  • @ll10 they said both my fluid is low n she is small I don't know what exactly 9% is but I've seen women on here sayn there's is 40 or 50 but haven't heard any as low as mine n it really scares me that she wants to check every week im already gettn an u/s every month but every week I thought that was only n extreme cases n. @cait_septembermommy I thought the weight was ok too but evidently not??? N. @sunshinelove I've been drinkn lots of water my pee is now clear lol maybe tmi but that's a good thing ill try the pickles when I get some more thanks

  • How percentiles work is it that if she is 9% then 91% of babies that age are bigger. That is why they are concerned. Some babies are just small. They will know more after your scans. Babies grow at different rates. She might just be gearing up for a growth spurt. Are you taking and meds even over the counter?
  • @homebirthadvocate thanks for clearing that up cuz after I got home n was thinking about all the bad stuff I usually think pos@ the doctors office n worry about the worse case scenerio once I get home n @ll10 yes im on thyroid n seizure meds they just increased my mg of thyroid meds n she checked my seizure med levels today thanks as well for giving me a more positive thought on it as well I felt like I was gonna have an anxiety attack thinking about it ohhhh how much I love n appreciate this app.
  • Ask your doctors what the side effects for the baby is from the meds. It is not uncommon for med to mess with growth. Even motrin can mess with water levels and babies growth. Usually not too concerning and just makes small babies. I wish doctors would explain stuff better. How many weeks are you? Also I am not a doctor by any means so everything I say is really not at all proffesional advice. Try not to worry too much mama. Just do whatyour doing maybe throw in a protien shake. Keep us updated.

Wait Motrin is a bad example to compare it too you should not take motrin. Sorry.
  • @ll10 im 24/5 yea they said that my thyroid med can affect her growth but im small n was small when I was born I try to not take any over the counter med only have taken tylenol a few times b/c I have horrible headaches sometimes I've actually thought about buying a small thing of ensure but I dk I actually gained 1 1/2 lbs since yesterday according to the scales@ the doctor so maybe if I keep eating n quit stressing me and l.o. will b fine n thanks for ur support!!!!!! >:D<
  • Oh if you were small and the them meds might make her small. I've seen babies born at 41 weeks at 5lb. I was 4 and believe me you could not tell. Water makes me gain 5lbs a day. I count when I pee to see if I'm letting out enough water. That way when they ask me I can say some sort of measurement. Since I have been in the hospital I have realied 14 seconds for me is 300 cc. 1.5 lbs seems like a good size. Just keep drinking water maybe take it easier too.
