Its bad to eat raw egg yes but I don't think just a few dabs would do harm. I test my cake mix to make sure it tastes right before I bake it. It does have its risk though.
've never replaced eggs but I think half a banana per egg, or 1/4cup silk tofu or the egg substitute stuff they sell at the store. egg helps the cake rise but it also helps it to be more fluffy and not so dense. also I'd you do substitute for banana add an extra dose of baking soda or powder. Which ever the recipe calls for to help it rise better.
Also on a side not I recommend using applesauce instead of oil. Not only is it a bit healthier but also it tastes better. It makes the cake much more moist than oil.
