may be a little tmi but this doesnt seem normal...

im doing a 24 hr urine collection for my pre-e and i started it at 1130 this morning, its now after 7pm here. i only have about an inch collected...i went to the bathroom 3 times only today...im drinking like normal and feel hydrated, no headaches or anything, but im just not peeing...does anyone know y this is?

    it happened to me both times(one was actually last night), it eventually caught up in the middle of the night, pretty much filling the jug, Not sure if it's normal or not sorry I couldn't be much help!

    this is my third one and the first one i filled a jug and a little of a second one, the second time the jug was full, but now this time it doesnt even look like it will be half full. im not sure whats going on...@3rd_bumps_a_charm

    Hun, maybe you wanna call your on call doctor. I know that lack of urinating whilst drinking normally can indicate a kidney problem. Can't hurt to call

    @Misssunflower ya i think i may call them, because this just isnt normal for me, i usually go every hr on the hr. even last night i only got up twice. idk if pre-e can mess with urine output or not?

    I've never had to do a collection, but I drink normally but don't pee a lot.

    @sands3 hmm, mayb its just being weird today lol. i just noticed it when i went to the bathroom a few hrs ago that i barely had any in there

    Sounds like you are retaining water. Does it have a CC measure?

    @ll10 im not very swollen, well not more than i usually am i guess. on the toilet hat thingy? it has measurements not sure what they are tho

    Not peeing enough is a sign of preclampsiya. I would call ur doctor. Good luck hun!

    Finish your test. When they test your urine, they also test the quantity. I have taken 3 24 hr urine tests this pregnancy and the 2nd one I barely had any urine. I would not call the doctor because he is just going to tell you to finish the test.

    @TheTrondsons1st i have pre-e already, so should i still call my dr. they didnt mention that part to me

    @headersue ok thank you, this is my third one in three weeks and this one has the least amount of urine. i still dont feel like i have to go to the bathroom and ive only gone 3 times since 1130 the last time being around 7 : /

    @headersue also what did they say for your second test?

    That my quantity was lower then the first time and my protein levels had gone up slightly. If you have already been diagnosed with pre-e the 24 hour urine is to check the protein level. That is the only way they can do it. I mean you can call the doctor or go to L&D and if they admit you, you will have to start the test over. I would just finish the test and then go from there.

    @headersue ya for my second on my levels went down slightly. im curious as to what theyr going to be now. my feet have been getting swollen more often so i hope it didnt go up again. ugh i cant wait for this to be over with
