Any other preglys considering tubal ligation after birth?

This will be my second child...and oddly enough...I was scheduling a tubal ligation prior to first finding out I was pregnant. She was not planned However We're still excited. My fiance has four kids I have 1 and our daughter is due to arrive in October....so 6 kids is definitely plenty for us! Are there any other pregly mamas that are considering This too?

    I'm 34 my sons 16, daughter 11..having another was a shocker! very happy, but very done =) I had my tubal 6weeks ago.

    @jaime77 I'm 27 my fiance is 36...we have a 11,9,8,6,2 and soon to be newborn...beautiful chaos in our home LOL. How was the surgery?
    @myasmommy2009 are you having the surgery when u have the c-section?

    I'm having another vaginal delivery so I would have to come back for the surgery...or do You ladies think I should schedule a csection & tubal surgery at once?

    I will once I get pregnant this last time after I have baby I will be done too I am almost 36 and have had two c- sections.

    @tishj330 Have you had the surgery yet? Yeah I honestly thought I was done with my 6yr old but God had other plans....LOL

    See I tried Mirena for 5years but at the end I had a bad reaction and it migrated up in my uterus and perforated it....extremely painful!!!

    Not yet. I'm 25 weeks with daughter #2 right now. My older daughter is 16. I'm due on her 17th bday. I'm 35, I've had a high risk pregnancy, and I just don't think I can handle being pregnant again. I'm just not sure how I'm gonna do it. If I have a c-section I'll get a tubal ligation. If I can have a vaginal, then I was thinking the Essure, but maybe still the tubal.

    @tishj330 Hmmm what's essure never heard of it? Yeah I'm 27 had my daughter @ 21...and never thought I'd have any more. How awesome your due date is on her bday! I was born on my mamas bday lol

    I am only 22 and I am definitely done got two girls and finally my boy ") all csections so might as well do it while their in there ;)

    Surgery went well! Had it done the next morning after a vaginal delivery. Hurt that night but meds helped..just a small incision in my belly button. healed within 2weeks :) ... U def. Have beautiful chaos.

    Yeah, I'm going to do it then so I don't have to have it for a outpatient procedure :)

    @jaime77. ohhh see that's exactly what I was looking into so it wasn't to bad huh? I'm asking my doc about it Tuesday at my appointment. thanks for the input! ;)

    I had my tubes clamped off at 6 weeks PP. After my last pregnancy (very high risk, lots of complications...), I cannot put myself is my body through that again. Plus I have an almost 5 year old boy and now my 14 week old daughter, so I'm content!
