she's not pooping...(((UPDATE @ top))) tmi

since i've been trying to switch Ryleigh fron breast to formula she hasnt been pooping, I know the switch can back babies up but I need help to help her poop. dr said to stick the temp stick in her butt, prune juice, warm bath and pushing her knees up to her belly. ive done all of that and she has only pooped once in a week ..

can any one help us???
I was SOOOO excited the one time she pooped. i never thought i'd be so happy to see so much poop. lol..

UPDATE.....
so I gave the temp stick one more chance before I called the dr and as soon as I pulled it out here came the poo.. two full diapers of yucky poo :) YAYYYY Ryleigh

    Lol my lil girl only poops once every few days but she is exclusively breast fed and dr told me it was normal for her aa long as she didn't seem in pain

    Our dr told us to give.her apple juice and it helped or karo syrup in her bottle(the darkone)

    If you want to help her poop get children's glycerin suppository but don't insert into the anus just massage that anus with the suppository while holding her legs back like your going to change her. I had to do it with my daughter a couple times and then she got herself regulated again. Best of luck!

    @rissalee7 it seems to be bothering her now aittle. it wasnt at first but now I can tell her tummy is hurting from it. how is them not pooping everyday normal? goodness. before I started trying to switch her she was pooping like 10x a day. now nothing :(

    Dr recommended childrens glycerine....
    The 1st days or weeks the poop veryy very often..its normal...
    Then dk what happens that they stopped... my 2mnth old does not poop everyday...
    Dr said, as long as bby is gaining weight its all good!!! :-)

    Put a little bit of Karo light corn syrup in her bottles. I had this problem with my oldest. The first diaper may be runny but its like a teaspoon pure 4 oz

    She went so much while nursing BC your milk kept her hydrated.

    My baby is nursing and wont poop :( I feel so bad. The Dr recommended the karo syrup and suppository.. I Googled the karo syrup & it had bunch of crazy things that could happen.. plus I'm a chicken, I couldn't do the sup. To him.

    @reemama I couldn't bring myself to insert the suppository either and an old nurse practitioner told me to just massage the anus with it and it worked great!

    Try pear juice. Is she straining to poop?

    I jus used gas drops and they work great for my son!! And when babies r strictly breast feed it is normal for them to go days without pooping. Its cuz the mothers milk when it is digested there is basically nothing left to poop out, but formula. There is still things there that don't get fully digested, so they poop. That's what my son's Dr. Said.

    @betty really? the dr said to call back if she hasnt pooped in 3 days or if she is uncomfortable. its been 3 days sibce the last one.
    @soon2b3 how times a day? ive done it just a couple times the past couple days.

    @mzmommy1st I use the gas drops for her gas and its never made her poop :( .. when I was just breastfeeding her she didnt have a problem pooping. she does now that im trying to get her on the formula

    If u can try to get her to drink some water, jus make sure its a smaller hole in the nipple then the usual ones. Also try just rubbing her belly while she's laying down.

    For my lil girl the thermometer did the trick the one time she had problems sometimes gripe water causes a bm from her

    @mrs_shu I know. I never thought i'd b so happy to see so much poop.. yes, she feels so much better now, she is finally sleeping peacefully.. I was having a rough morning but that poop made me feel so much better
