just timed my contractions...

edited August 2011 in Pregnant
Theyr 2 to 3 minutes apart and pretty regular. Only random once in a while. And they are lasting almost a minute each. I'm still having period cramping in my back and front and pains down below. No show or anything. I hope its not just because of me freaking out a little bit. They've been going on since Saturday and then they were about 5 to 6 mins apart

  • If you're not in so muuch pain that you're screaming or crying, then I wouldn't worry. They're most likely just painful braxton hicks. They start getting painful towards the end. Unless the pain is unbearable, they won't change your cervix. I was in triage ALOT because I thought if they were close and regular it was labor, but I didn't know it had to be super painful for me to dilate. Hope this helps! Drink some water though to help with the cramping!
  • I had that about a week ago when my ex best friend made me angry. I was so pissed that I had a dull back ache and strong regular contractions that were painful, but not true labor. I drank water and reclined in my chair and they went away. It's kinda freaky, but we'll know when its true labor!
  • Ya I'm not going in til I'm dying or my water breaks lol I'm sick of being told to come in just to b sent home an hr later lol.
  • I've been having them before I got freaked out and this is while laying down and being hydrated. I'm calm now and still having them
  • I have yet to have bad contractions I wish I had something to time
  • I'm going thru something similar. Due 9/20 having contractions 2 mins apart went to l&d they checked me I'm 2cm 60% effaced watched me for 2 hours offered me a shot to erin contractions I refused then tried to give me nubain to slow or stop contractions I also refused didn't seem to be making any mote progress so I was sent home and have Dr appt today at 10 am. Ive been contracting since yesterday at noon. Oh and Dr also advised I have some some bc that's been known to stop labor...again I declined LOL
  • Stop*** contractions
  • Have some wine*** ugh stupid auto spell lol sorry
  • They don't have to be super painful for you to dialate. Everyones body is different so you kinda have to play it by ear. With 2 of my deliveries they just felt like cramps until I dialated to 7cm. Then they got super painful.
